Volume Velocity! Procedural Animation part 3
Building on top of the previous Live Stream, we take the Vector Field we built last week and plug it into different types of simulations. Pyro, Vellum, FLIP, RBD, but due to time constraints, I'm going to focus on the Pyro & Vellum. This really shows the power of vector fields and the limitless applications for different scenes. And it doesn't end there! The reusability is amazing!
Tornado Motion! Procedural Animation Part 2
I take a deep dive into Tornado motion! I'll explain some of the basic concepts needed to create a Vellum Paper tornado motion in Houdini, all the way down to Cross Products and Volume Velocity (aka. vector fields) that will get fed into different simulations.
Procedural Animation! Overview of Ideas!
I explore different ways of creating Procedural Animation and drive simulations in Houdini. Bouncing, jumping, cyclonic tornados, RBD destruction, smoke debri by Pyro, and much more!
Vellum Soft Skin! Procedural Modeling Techniques Part 4!
In this session, I continue off with the Vellum examples and we finally get to talk about Soft Skin! This is probably the most useful technique I love about Vellum in Houdini. It's very handy and can be applicable in so many different scenes and geometries. I'll show you how you can use Vellum to create baggy skin for your character, stack up scoops of ice cream, and create flat tires.
Vellum Paper! Procedural Modeling Techniques Part 3!
In this session, I demonstrate different ways Vellum can be used to create paper effects in Houdini! The beauty of this is that it’s easy and generates very convincing results!
Vellum Modeling Examples! Procedural Modeling Techniques Part 2
In this video, I show you 9 different small and large scale scenes powered by vellum that can be surprisingly easy to create! Scrap Paper, Posters flying through City, Flapping Wings, Ice Cream, Flat Tires, Pillows, Coat Hanger, Vellum Skin, & Table Cloth.
Procedural Modeling Techniques & Practical Use Cases
I demonstrate Different Procedural Modeling Techniques used in Houdini for modeling different types of assets.
Snowflake Generator HDA!
I wanted to do something Christmas themed and I wanted to do some more procedural modeling. This snowflake was the perfect project! I will be doing a deep dive into this little snowflake and showing a live explanation on how I created this HDA. And as usual the Snowflake HDA will be available for
Houdini 19 Curve Node New Features!
Houdini 19’s new features for the Curve Node! Huge updates have been made to the Curve node and it now feels like a pen in a drawing app! I use the Curve node to create some fancy ornamental designs with this new workflow.
Construction Platform HDA
Procedural Modeling Techniques & Construction Platform HDA Generator! Join me in a live stream where I share a few powerful techniques that I use repeatedly in different ways to create large assets!
Houdini 19 Testing Out New Features!
Explore some of the new features of Houdini 19 with example HIP files and a look at the Vellum Unified Multi-Solver, Curve node, KineFX Key Post Extraction, and Pyro.
Pumpkin Generator HDA for Houdini
I wanted to do something with a Halloween theme and procedural modeling pumpkins seemed the next best thing! It first started yet modelling one pumpkin, but I decided to take it further and create a Pumpkin Generator HDA!
Procedural City v5 (stacking UDIM's)
City HDA can generate different components in the city, including buildings, doorway path for the buildings, windows for the buildings, grassland, roads with UV’s directional flow, and sidewalks with UV’s directional flow, street lamps. This is only the start and I wish to create much more detailed geometry to populate within the city. I’m hoping this will become a great asset in game development or even film for a urban city environment settings.
Facial Expressions HDA v1 Release
Bring life to 3D characters with my new Facial Expressions HDA tool! I’ve also created 14 different facial presets and exposed different parameters to customize for maximum flexibility.
Export Houdini KineFX Rigs & BlendShapes to Blender
I demonstrate how to Export a Houdini KineFX rig into Blender. The KineFX is made from scratch in Houdini and is attached with retargeted animations. It’s all imported into Blender using FBX format, so it’s compact and clean. You’ll get the fully rig exposed in Blender for further tweaking and animations available in the Action Editor inside the DOPE sheet.
Clothing Generators Ver 2 Updated for 3rd Party Mesh
Updates to the Clothing Generator! It can create clothing in Houdini for 3rd party Characters that you downloaded from other places!
Clothing Generators Ver 1 & Updated Vest Generator HDA for Houdini
Introducing a new set of Clothing Generators HDA that can be used with the Character Generator HDA to create simple clothing in a fast pace workflow. The Clothing pieces can be stack on top of each other without intersecting on each other.
