Channel Packing
Writing the Surface Noise data to the Red Channel of the Vertex Color for material setup on 3rd party 3D applications
The pimples on the pumpkin that I refer to as “surface noise” can be mapped to the RED channel of the geometry when you enable the option on the Pumpkin Generator HDA.
Writing the Curvature data to the Green Channel of the Vertex Color for material setup on 3rd party 3D applications
The curvature data of the pumpkin surface can also be mapped to GREEN channel of the geometry when you enable the option on the Pumpkin Generator HDA.
Blender Materials using Channel Packing to access the Surface Noise (Red Channel) & Curvature (Green Channel)
This allows easy access to the data when creating shaders or materials for renders.
