Chicken-zilla VS Gorilla-Kong (Godzilla & King Kong inspiration)

When the trailer dropped for the movie, Godzilla x Kong The New Empire, I got inspired to do recreate a scene where they both duel in the sea, which is actually based on a scene in the first Godzilla vs. Kong 2021 movie. It takes place in the middle of the sea where Kong is sitting on a military cruiser and Godzilla is swimming towards it.

But I didn’t have a Godzilla model, so I used the Chicken Rig from SideFX’s Library and I had a base mesh of a gorilla where I added more detail with zbrush and added fur using Houdini’s Hair system. I don’t like guns, so I replaced the guns with bananas, lol. And it’s shooting out the banana meat towards them both. Overall it’s a very silly scene, but I had a lot of fun creating this and a lot of screenshot renders from concepts I did.

Some of you with a keen eye, may recognize the Tokyo environment from Epic Games Marketplace! I believe it was the month of May that Epic Games gave away the Tokyo environment pack for free. For those of you that may not already know, Epic Games gives away a handful of assets for free every month. It’s usually the first Monday of every month. This Tokyo bundle came in just the right timing and it was around the same time the Godzilla Minus One movie was released in theatres!
