My all time favorite backflip animation! The backflip animation data is bought online and using Houdini’s new Kine FX features, it was easily retargeted onto any character geometry.

I added some noise to an existing animation. The original 3D animation has the character crawling out of the ground and I took that and added procedural noise to the Y-axis displacing the character up and down. This made the character look like he was constantly slipping.

I used the Vellum solver simulate an inflated balloon animation that is driven by the crawling character animation. This was done to demonstrate how procedural noise can enhance the animation and how this technique can be applied in different scenarios.
