Texturing the Belt in Substance Painter

After the Live Stream I picked a couple of different frames to export the belt geometry to Substance Painter and play with some texturing. I managed to get very nice results very easily and it’s all thanks to the nice UV’s generated by the sweep node!

I did have to fix the UV position of the Belt to package it in a way that Substance Painter would understand, but that is done very easily with a UV Layout node. I was thinking of covering this in a casual Daily Pop Up Stream, which will be a new series of Live Streams that I’ll be doing in the near future. I’m thinking after the Tuesday one on Vellum Clothing Creation.

Pop Up Live Streams

That’s something I’m really looking forward to! The Pop Up Streams will give me a chance to showcase my daily work, stuff that I really want to talk about, but isn’t ready for an official tutorial. I’m thinking of a more Show’n Tell format, but this is new and needs some experimenting before I can get this new mini Pop Up series ready to roll.
