Sine Wave Bookshelf in Houdini for Procedural Modeling

This video is a special for Perk 2 Members-Only and will start off a new mini-series for combining Sine Waves and procedural modeling in Houdini. I’ll be using a bookshelf and adding a Sine Wave to demonstrate the workflow.

I am reusing the bookshelf project from the Feedback Foreach Loop series to start off this video. That way we don’t need to start from scratch and dig straight into the Sine Wave and procedural modeling techniques.

Parts 1 & 2 are very short introductions and Part 3 is where it really starts with the Sine Wave action. There will also be a Part 4 (still in the works) and it’ll take this all project up a notch by modifying the actual shelves with a Sine Wave and some more advanced group assignments that will come in handy when you’re populating the shelves with items.
